We waited by the Banks
   of the Deep Canal
Waiting for the Submarine 
  That would save us all

It was then that
Thousands of Ducks
Of all types came 
    from nowhere 
and alighted on the Water
   on either end 
of the narrow Channel

After a few noisy minutes 
They all took to the sky
    In a Magnificent Murmuration

We all knew the Submarine 
   would surface very soon
